The Fund’s next successful step…

On 11.02.2014, the delegation headed by Seyfettin Ayakyayin, chair for International Turkey-Azerbaijan Researches Center for Culture, Language and History visited the Fund of Aid for Youth.

With the invitation of "Khojaly Awareness campaign" Public Union coming to Baku, they got acquainted with the activities accomplished by the Fund.

The quests were given by and large information about prospering Azerbaijan.

At the round-table discussion, video footage about the Fund was shown. The president of the Fund Ahmet Tejim gave information about Karabakh realities.

The Fund representatives visit the Martyrs’ Avenue

The Fund representatives visited the Shehids’ Alley

The Fund representatives visited the Martyrs’ Avenue on the 24th anniversary of 20 January.

They visited graves of those who were slain on 20 January 24 years ago and laid wreath on the tombs.

It is now 24 years since the night 19-20 January, when Soviet armed troops entered Baku killing mass of people, hence committing tragedy against humanity.

Every passing year thousands of people visit graves of martyrs who gave themselves up for the freedom, independence of the nation on 20 January. Generations change, but their memoirs will never be forgotten.

May Allah rest their souls!

“Weep, my Carnage” book gets printed

On 24th anniversary of 20 January tragedy, “Weep, my Carnage” book was printed out.

With the support of the Fund of Aid for Youth and published at “SilWay” printing house, the book features a poem “Weep, my Carnage” by Ammad Aslan, AzerTaj reports. Author is Mamad Aslan, editor is the Fund’s Press Secretary Eldar Karimov, painters are Yavar Asadov and Murad Yavaroglu, designer is Sarkhan Iskandarov.
The poem “Weep, my Carnage” was presented with different style at the book. Generally consisting of 103 pages, every page is featuring photos depicting tragedy and poem by Mammad Aslan.

At the chapter named “from the editor” Eldar Karimov deems the poem “Weep, my carnage” as the word monument erected to the memory of martyrs.
in book it is mentioned that the poem written the very next day of the tragedy is openly telling atrocities committed. With this poem, the tragedy not only written in history but in the memoirs of generations.

“20 January tragedy- our people’s brave novel”

 “20 January tragedy- our people’s brave novel”  essay competition winners have been awarded.

Today, there was held award-giving ceremony for winners of “20 January tragedy- our people’s brave novel”-titled essay competition which was dedicated to 20 January tragedy XXIV anniversary and co-organized by Fund of Aid for Youth and Baku City Youth and Sports Administrative Office.

The event initiated by the Fund and Baku City Youth and Sports Adminitrative Office is aiming to commemorate 1990 20 January tragedy, share national-moral values among young generation proselytizing Azerbaijani history through generations.
